Mold-Nord wine factory was founded in 1944 in the basement of Ferdinand #1 Building, Faleshti. This building survived until today and is now a private house.

In 1955, local authority issued an order to create a new wine factory in the city.

In 1960's the first factory reconstruction began & wine cellars were built.

During 1970's it was the first time, that wine factory planted 100 new grape varieties across 16 hectares on the north of the country.

In 1980's factory was equipped with a new vacuum distillation facility from "Alfa Laval" (Sweden). It produces concentrated juices and non-alcohol wine. Also, new wine depositories, equipped with enamelled tanks were created in this period.

In 1990's factory privatization took place. That was the time when fruit distillates production was set up.

During the beginning of the new millenium there were done a great upgrade and optimization process. We've built-in new technologies and methods, we've bought new German-produced equipment and facilities and we've integrated a new, Italian-made bottling-line for strong alcoholic drinks.

Our General Director - Piotr Chirmici was awarded with a gold "Duke Golitsyn" medal in Yalta for his extraordinary contribution in the industry. He also was awarded with "Meritul Civic" and "Gloria Muncii" state awards of the Republic of Moldova.

From this year began our greatest re-equipment process and it's still in progress.
